Owner Operated Since 2011
A web design and SEO agency in Novi, Michigan. Small on purpose, so the work stays close to the person doing it.
Who you are actually hiring
Blue Lake Web Design is run by Eric Plotts out of Novi, Michigan. Fifteen years building websites and doing SEO for small and mid-sized businesses, first locally and then for clients across the country.
The work spans contractors, manufacturers, locksmiths, medical practices, ecommerce brands, and professional services. Fifteen years in, the pattern is that the industry matters far less than whether the owner is clear about what they are selling.
We stayed small deliberately. Agencies grow by adding layers between the client and the work, and every layer costs money that ends up on your invoice without improving your website. Keeping it small is why a three-page site costs $600 here and several thousand somewhere with a sales team.
(How we operate)
Four things we hold to
01
You talk to the builder
No account manager, no project coordinator relaying messages. The person who answers the phone is the person writing the code.
02
Prices are published
Our pricing is on the site. You should not have to sit through a discovery call to find out whether you can afford a website.
03
No contracts
Everything ongoing is month to month. If we stop earning it, you stop paying. We would rather keep clients on merit.
04
No guarantees we cannot keep
Nobody can guarantee a Google ranking, and any agency promising one is telling you something Google itself says is not possible.
Where we are
The office is at 24120 Meadowbrook Road #219 in Novi, MI 48375. We work throughout Metro Detroit, including Novi, Detroit, Farmington Hills, Northville, Walled Lake, Commerce, Brighton, Troy, and Ann Arbor.
A good share of our clients are nowhere near Michigan. Everything runs over calls, email, and screen shares, which works fine whether you are ten minutes away or three time zones out.
